Camp Haccamo's 10th Annual Car, Truck, and Cycle Show was a huge success, raising over $20,000 to send deserving kids to camp for free.
The event, held June 3 at Greece Ridge Mall, drew over 200 spectators and nearly 200 exhibitors. The show featured a wide variety of vehicles, from classic cars to modern-day muscle cars. There were also several awards, more than 76, given out, including Best of Show, which went to Dave Brye and his 1961 Chevrolet Biscayne (pictured here).
"We're so grateful for the support of the Rochester community," said Chuck Krause, Camp Haccamo's auto show chairman. "This event is a great way to bring people together and raise money for a good cause."
Camp Haccamo is a Rotary camp that provides a free, safe, and fun overnight summer camping experience for children and adults with special needs. It’s also the only camp in our area that serves adults, ages 19 to 30. The camp is a place where smiles grow and where individuals are welcomed and embraced for who they are.
"We're gearing up for another camp season," said Krause. "We need your help to make sure that every child who wants to come to camp can afford to do so. Please consider making a donation today." Key dates this season are -- July 31 to Aug 4 for ages 7-18, and August 7 to 11 for ages 19-30.
